PAL’s Fall Preview: Everything You Can Join Us For This Fall

We have so much for your child to get involved in this fall at the Police Activities League! Whether your child is looking to start a sport this fall, engage in some extracurriculars, or you need childcare this school year, we’ve got something for you! Our latest blog will take a look at all of the exciting opportunities for your family to get involved with this fall at the Police Activities League of Egg Harbor Township & Atlantic County!

Big PAL's Before and Aftercare

We will once again be offering Before and Aftercare for the 2025-2026 School Year! Our Before and After Care program is available for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Morning care is held from 6:30 am to the start of the school day, and afternoon care is held from the end of School to 6:00 pm. Our program is located in our 14,000 square foot STEM building with access to our turf field, rock-climbing wall, fully equipped E-Sports room, and 14-inch telescope. Our Before and After Care kids not only get homework help, but enjoy a variety of indoor/outdoor games, bounce houses, go-kart rides, basketball, gaga ball, wiffle ball, arts and crafts, and soooo much more! 

STEM Workshops

LEGO Spike - LEGO Spike engages students in grades 1 through 3 in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts while contributing to literacy, math, and social-emotional development.

WeDo 2.0 - WeDo 2.0 makes science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and coding come to life for students in grades 2 through 5.

Mindstorm EV3 - With Mindstorm EV3, students in grades 5 through 9 can turn LEGO creations into live robots that follow their every command.

Smart Car/Robot - Through Smart Car & Smart Robot, students in grades 6 through 9 get educational, hands-on experience about Arduino programming, electronic assembling, and robotics knowledge.

Model Rocketry - During Model Rocketry, students aged 10 and up will learn the fundamentals of rocketry, aerodynamics, and propulsion while using 3D modeling software and 3D printers to design and create their very own custom rocket parts.

Minecraft Coding - Our Minecraft Coding Workshop combines fun and learning in a unique and engaging way for students in grades 3 through 8. In this hands-on program, kids will explore the world of coding by using Minecraft Education Edition to create, modify, and interact with virtual worlds through code.

Future Engineers - Our Future Engineers Series includes four different workshops - RC Plane, RC Boat, RC Car, & Combat Bot. Students in grades 7 through 12 will learn 3D modeling and printing basics as they bring their designs to life.

Sports Leagues & Programs

Tee Ball - Our Tee Ball League is designed for children ages 4 to 6. Games will be four innings, or 60 minutes long, and the entire roster will bat!

NFL Flag Football - There will be two Fall seasons – one for ages 5 to 11 and one for ages 12 to 14. Our NFL Flag Football Leagues will consist of one practice day and one game day. The basic rules of our game are 7 v 7 players on our indoor turf field, away from the elements. Each game will consist of two 22-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime. All athletes must wear a mouthpiece, and there is no physical contact permitted.

Youth Soccer - Our Youth Soccer Program is designed for children ages 4 to 14 with three separate divisions. Each hour session will be broken into two parts:  20- 30 minutes of instruction to learn fundamentals and strategies. The remaining time will consist of small-scale games to learn applied skills.

Tiny Trotters Running - Our Tiny Trotters Running Club is an exhilarating program tailored for our youngest athletes aged 3 to 8 years old!

Volleyball Precision - Our Volleyball Precision Program for athletes 8 to 15, will focus on the basics of volleyball, serving and passing drills, setting and attacking, skill refinement, defensive skills and blocking, offensive strategies, tactical drills, and finishing the 6-week program with a mini tournament!

Field Hockey - Our field hockey 6-week program will focus on teaching stick skills, shooting, tactics & strategy, fitness & conditioning, game awareness, teamwork & communication, and defensive skills. This program is for athletes ages 10 to 14.
