Meet Our New Summer Camp STEAM Enrichment Programs

At the Police Activities League of Egg Harbor Township and Atlantic County, we offer an award-winning summer camp, STEM camps, and now we are excited to announce our brand-new STEAM enrichment programs! Our ​Summer Camp STEAM Enrichment Programs are designed to inspire creativity, spark curiosity, and build real-world skills! We are offering programs that cover a variety of STEAM topics. In this blog, we’ll do an overview of the Enrichment Programs we will be offering this summer!

Media Workshop

Our Media Workshop will be held from July 7th through the 11th for students in 7th grade and up! In this hands-on program, kids become content creators! Campers will learn the fundamentals of video production, photography, podcasting, and digital storytelling. From filming and editing to using professional microphones and lighting setups, they’ll gain real experience behind and in front of the camera. With guidance from media professionals, each student will help create a mini-project—like a news segment, short film, or podcast episode—by the end of the week. This workshop builds creativity, communication, and tech skills, all while having fun!

Future Engineers Workshop

Our Future Engineers Workshop will be held from July 14th through August 22nd for students in 7th grade and up! Get ready to build, design, and discover in our Future Engineers Workshop! This exciting summer enrichment program gives students a hands-on introduction to real-world engineering. Campers will explore 3D printing by creating their own custom parts, experiment with reverse engineering by taking things apart to understand how they work, and dive into hands-on construction projects that blend creativity with critical thinking. They’ll also get to learn the basics of programming and use computer-aided drawing (CAD) software to design components like real engineers do. It’s the perfect mix of tech, tools, and teamwork for any future innovator!
